Jon is the founder of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is also the founder of it's renowned Stress Reduction Clinic. He teaches mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in various venues around the world.
My father picked up Jon Kabat-Zinn's book, Wherever You Go, There You Are, after his diagnosis with cancer in 1996. It changed the course of his life, and soon after, my own.
