At her funeral, Johnny had to be helped from his wheelchair to view his wife’s face one last time. At a family gathering, he said, “I don’t know hardly what to say tonight about being up here without her. The pain is so severe; there is no way of describing it.” Johnny Cash died less than four months later.
June Carter Cash (American) singer, song writer, actress, comedian, and author married to Johnny Cash. Originally part of the Carter Family Singers. She played the guitar, banjo, harmonica and autoharp. Her music has a real folksy country sound almost like early gallic music.
