Marine Sgt Jeannette L. Winters, 25, of Gary, Indiana. Died January 9, 2002, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to Marine Aerial Transport Refueler Squadron 352, based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar California. Died of injuries sustained when the KC-130 refueling tanker she was in crashed into the side of a mountain and exploded as it approached an airfield at Shamsi, Pakistan.
