Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, the only daughter of Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones, married Daniel Chatto, an actor, on July 14, 1994. Lady Sarah’s wedding gown was designed by Jasper Conran. Sarah’s veil was anchored with the Snowdon Floral Tiara, a gift to Princess Margaret from her husband. Sarah has two sons, Samuel born in 1996, and Arthur born in 1999. She maintains a close relationship with her aunt, Queen Elizabeth II, and is invited to Royal events.
She may have had a queen for a grandmother and a queen for an aunt, but Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones (daughter of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon) wasn’t raised to be a royal – her mother made sure of that. And, her wedding, to fellow artist Daniel Chatto on July 14, 1994, wasn’t a royal affair; it was held in a small church and in front of just 200 guests. The couple met while working on the film "Heat and Dust" in India.
Margaret’s death also brought the Queen even closer to her only niece, in her new role as something of a surrogate mother. One, it appears, that endures to this day. Pictured: Lady Sarah photographed by her father for her 30th birthday
Princess Anne's page boy was her 9 year old brother, Prince Edward. Her bridesmaid was 9 year old Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, the daughter of Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth’s sister. Princess Anne kept her bridal party simple: no bridesmaids or attendants except for the two children.
