Silky Smooth Lip Balm • 1 tsp jojoba oil • 1 tsp lanolin • ½ tsp beeswax pellets • ½ tsp shea butter • ½ tsp honey • 3-5 drops essential oils • 1 vit E cap as preservative (optional) Boil water. Put first 4 ingredients in glass bowl. When water boils, turn down heat. Put bowl in water in pan. Stir till completely melted. Take bowl out, add in the rest of the ingredients. Put into containers. Tips: This recipe is too creamy to use in chapstick style containers.
Limiting this to just shea butter (instead of cocoa butter), VitE oil, and peppermint oil, this recipe will save you a crap load of money for Burts Bees and EOS quality lip balm that's free of beeswax, petroleum, and other questionable or otherwise, not so kind things. The ingredients are expensive at first, but pay off ten fold in the end. Can't wait to try this :)
