Read the letter Coretta Scott King wrote opposing Sessions’s 1986 federal nomination

The widow of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. urged Congress to block the 1986 nomination of Jeff Sessions for federal judge, saying that allowing him to join the federal bench would “irreparably damage the work of my husband,” according to the letter written by King that was previously publicly unavailable and obtained on Tuesday by The Post.

I love the story of the woman at the well (John 4). It's one of my favorites. In a time where the Samaritans were despised by the Jews Jesus went out of his way to minister to an unnamed woman who was known to have been immoral. Although she didn't wear a scarlet letter she was still rejected by other Samaritans as well as Jews...but Jesus saw past all that (as he always does). It's human tendency to judge others and label them as lost causes based on our own ideas of what or who they should…

spiritualinspiration: Your job is not to judge. Your job is not to figure out if someone deserves something. Your job is to lift the fallen, to restore the broken, and to heal the hurting.
