La ricetta è quella originale di Amalfi:4 limoni a buccia grossa-1/2 lt di alcool alimentare-1/2 lt acqua-400 gr zucchero.mettere le scorze in un barattolo con l’alcool, chiudete e mettetelo a riposare al buio per 12 giorni. Trascorso il tempo previsto fare uno sciroppo facendo bollire 1/2 lt d’acqua con lo zucchero, lasciarlo intiepidire,poi unirlo all’alcool che avrete filtrato per eliminare le scorze. Travasate il liquore così ottenuto in bottiglia e servite freddo.

Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy, traditionally, made from the zest of Femminello St. Teresa lemons. Lemon zest, or peels without the pith, are steeped in grain alcohol until the oil is released. The resulting yellow liquid is then mixed with syrup. Most lemons, will produce satisfactory limoncello. Limoncello is traditionally served chilled as an after-dinner digestive.
