The number of wild lions has declined almost 50% over the last 30 years, making conservation of utmost importance. Not unexpectedly, the reasons for such a drastic decline are human-induced factors such as loss of habitat & international trade associated with recreational trophy hunting. Check out "The Last Lions": A new National Geographic movie sheds light on the status of lions in the wild.
From: Cathy Langen @wildscapephotos http://ift.tt/2i5Q8nf I love to shoot lions in the wild especially Kenya and Tanzania. This lion was found in the Ngorongoro Crater Tanzania early in the morning with his partner rolling around in the dry grass very close to the road. I have had many lion encounters and find them to be very social and loyal to their pride. They are one of the most beautiful animals in the wild. #Womeninphotography
