I'll be trying this next for our dishwasher. I was using the borax and washing soap with citric acid, but the dishes aren't coming so clean. Plus it's in liquid form so I'm hoping it doesn't leave a residue on the dishes.

After 3 different recipes that I didn't really care for, I finally found a liquid laundry soap that I love, and it's Borax free too! I can make my own in minutes and feel really good about washing my family's clothes with no chemicals!
Another recipe for liquid and powder dishwasher mixes
1 cup vinegar, 2TBSP lemon concentrate, 1 cup borax, 1 cup baking soda. that is all. that's for the liquid version. if you want it dry, skip the vinegar and lemon.
