The 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony, titled "Isles of Wonder," was inspired by Shakespeare's "The Tempest." Through incorporation of Caliban's speech, "Be not afeared. The isle is full of noises," director Danny Boyle showed the world that he loves Great Britain, just as Caliban loves the island. The speech itself was given by British actor Kenneth Branagh, who has stared in many movie adaptations of Shakespeare's plays, dressed as engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. -Brittany Bennett
