llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch- St Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St Tysilio of the red cave (so you can't miss finding it when you are wandering around Wales...) (and this is a stock photo, not the fandamily)
Our newest Welsh-themed rubber stamp, Spring 2015. The famous Welsh village with the longest place name in the UK and one of the longest in the world (for a single word). Available in our Etsy shop and website, triskelt.com
On the Welsh island of Anglesey, across the Menai Strait from the city of Bangor, sits Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, an unassuming old fishing village. Its 3,000 residents welcome more than 200,000 visitors every year, almost entirely on the strength of its 58-letter name. This 19-syllable jawbreaker is the longest place-name in Europe, and the longest one-word name of any municipality in the world.
