This drinking spout of pure Malvern water is piped directly from three springs above the town at Happy Valley, Rushley Valley and Ivy Scar Rock. The water is thought to come from so deep down that underground pressure forces it upwards, filtering it through the Ancient Malvern stone of the hills which remove any impurities.
Founded by Johann Jacob Schweppe in Geneva in 1783 as a business that sold carbonated mineral water for medicinal purposes. He moved to London in 1843 and sold Malvern water, a type of spring water with medicinal benefits, which became favored by the Royal Family.
