Richer than applesauce but less tart than traditional cranberry sauce, this Thanksgivukkah condiment — it’s great with latkes and with turkey — is sweetened with just a little bit of Manischewitz. First, the cranberries are stewed with spices and wine, and then the apples are added near the end to maintain a heartier texture.
Matzo Mousse Cake. Think Tiramisu but with more layers and chocolate! As a kid I wondered, why isn’t there a really delicious chocolate cake for Passover? My mom came up with this recipe for Kosher Passover (Pesadicka). It was a winner, and is the star dessert of our Passover meal. Soaking the matzo in Manischewitz wine gives it a texture like tiramisu. My mom has made this recipe with my kids for years. We all fight over the privilege of licking the spatula for the final bits.
