Little Walter, born Marion Walter Jacobs (5/1/1930 – 2/15/1968; Marksville, LA), was a blues harmonica player, whose innovation & impact succeeded generations. His virtuosity and musical innovations fundamentally altered many listeners' expectations of what was possible on blues harmonica. Little Walter was inducted to the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008 in the "sideman" category making him the first and only artist ever to be inducted specifically for his work as a harmonica player.

Harding lived in this house in Marion until he was elected the 29th president of the United States in 1920. Built for $3,500 in 1891 as a wedding present for his fiancé, Florence Kling, the future president and first lady lived in the home.
