Maureen O'Hara 1920 - 2015 The famous red-haired Irish beauty was raised in a devout Catholic home (had a sister who was a nun). Discovered for films by Charles Laughton, O'Hara then came to the U.S. for a long and illustrious film career. Her best films usually had her paired with John Wayne. Was a practicing Catholic all her life and spoke often of her Catholic faith. Received an honorary Oscar in 2014. Had a Catholic funeral and graveside service at Arlington National Cemetary.
