omg, i have been dying to mark the kids height somewhere on the wall or a door somewhere but i haven't been able to decide where and i kept thinking that wherever i start marking i want to be able to take it with us if we were to ever move. This is ABSOLUTELY going to be made now!
Ruler for measuring kids height. If you move, just take it down and take it with you. I used a 1x8 piece of pine, Minwax "cherry" stain, and home address numbers from Home Depot. The lines were done with a black paint marker from Michaels. 1. Cut board to length. My kids will never be 7', so it didn't need to be too big. Sand it smooth. 2. Stain. I used 2 coats. 3. Measure the lines and mark with a pencil. Use a square to make the actual lines with the marker. 4. Attach the numbers.
Such a cute idea for a growth chart instead of the tacky paper ones! This one will last forever, and will look super cute in the kids room! http://blogs.babycenter.com/life_and_home/diy-growth-chart-tutorial/
