Pretty medieval manuscript of the day shows medieval folk having a boogie… From a richly illustrated edition of the Roman de la Rose, we see a circle dance in the garden of Sir Mirth. Our narrator, dressed in blue, watches on from the side. It’s a splendid book, just look at the peacock, the irises, the tiny juicy wild strawberries. Wonderful.
