Castles:  Óbidos Castle was originally built by the Moors, sometime after 713 CE. It was remodeled during the reign of King Dinis I (1261 - 1325), when the limestone and marble structure was strengthened and elaborated. The keep was created in the 14th century, by King Fernando.
