Champagne is practically synonymous with celebrating. Create a cozy Champagne bar by adorning a wheeled cart or stationary bar with a bountiful in season garland. Florist Jackie Reisenauer of Minneapolis' Munster Rose created this with privet berries, bay leaves, and kumquats. Winter wedding? Use amaryllis, anemones, paperwhites, seeded eucalyptus, stephanotis, or tulips. As Reisenauer points out "it's very affordable, relying only on foliage and fruit."
Decorate with fruit and flowers. A bowl of lemons is so cheerful (and cheap!), and spring flowers like tulips and daffodils are less expensive and more readily available while they are in season. Scoop up a bunch of lemons and whichever flowers are on sale the next time you go to the market.
