The circular wine room below the rear turret of this Tudor-style home is filled with custom built-in wine racks and stone shelves. Natural stone is used on most of the walls in the space, and reclaimed brick covers all of the floors. The entire space is "reclaimed" since it replaces what was once a garage and basement. Very little heat (or cooling) is used to make these subterranean spaces function properly.
Combined Custom and Prefabricated Cellar This is a classic wine cellar that uses prefabricated and custom components. Once again, the system used here is scalable, and probably what you're most used to seeing in a traditional wine cellar. The storage system is made of ready-to-order components that come in pine, cherry, redwood and mahogany.
Baharat. It's a traditional Lebanese spice blend that can go great with meat, fish, and vegetables. Depending on the home you're in the ingredients can change somewhat. Mine is a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, coriander, and black pepper. I use it a lot to marinate and in sauces. It adds this depth to the food because it is both savory and sweet at the same time.
