Try a modern japanese dry garden. Great idea for hot and dry weather conditions. Use some appropriately selected pots with really exotic floral arrangements to add some color. Use a hidden drip line to keep them watered in some properly placed pottery. Elegant, nice, easy to maintain and relaxing to enjoy. A great place to nap or read.
"The art of stone in a Japanese garden is that of placement. Its ideal does not deviate from that of nature" - ISAMU NOGUCHI - (Modern Minimal interpretation of a 'Japanese Garden' by Pitsou Kedem Studio)
