Try a modern japanese dry garden. Great idea for hot and dry weather conditions. Use some appropriately selected pots with really exotic floral arrangements to add some color. Use a hidden drip line to keep them watered in some properly placed pottery. Elegant, nice, easy to maintain and relaxing to enjoy. A great place to nap or read.
Beautiful! Should probably avoid something exactly like this because those slabs look like they would be nasty if a kid fell against it, but I love the aesthetic of the different levels, raised path and man-made to natural ratio
