The Prestige (2006)

"Now you're looking for the secret. But you won't find it because of course, you're not really looking. You don't really want to work it out. You want to be fooled."

Kill Bill: Volume 1

Uma Thurman . "Kill Bill" film de Quentin Tarantino (2003)

There’s some ridiculously good fan art appearing for Mad Max Fury Road at the moment, now that people have seen the film and got a sense of how it plays out we’re seeing more than a collection of reworked promotion stills. Some are even creating alternate OST covers or DVD/Blu-ray sleeves. A lot of it is in the form of poster art but there’s also concept images and more cartoonish comic book stuff too. A lot of this was found on Deviant Art and I’ve tried to credit all the artists…

"I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take ME out and do WHATEVER I WANTED. Now I wanna dance, I wanna win. I want that trophy, so dance good."

Apocalypse Now Art Print by Brian Wilcox

Apocalypse Now by Brian Wilcox Studios- most people think of the scene with Air Cav coming in to "Flight of the Valkyries" or Duval's famous "I love the smell of napalm in the morning...smells like...Victory!" The scene that always stood out was the chaos at the bridge scene. "Who's in charge here?" "Aren't you, man?"

Tilda Swinton’s dinner speech at the opening of David Bowie is

"For others, it was a more lonesome affair, paced out in a sort of private morse code like following bread crumbs through a forest (...) you provided the sideways like us with such rare and out-there company, such fellowship (...) Nothing more certain than changes (...) The alien is the best company after all For so many more than the few (...)" (Tilda Swinton's dinner speach at the opening of Bowie Is)

Dancer in the Dark (2000)

Dancer in the Dark. I absolutely LOVE Bjork and she's one of the most inspiring women I can think of. I have this on DVD but I haven't gotten round to watching it yet, but I can't wait to now. I remember this having amazing reviews when it came out. And apparently I should watch it on my own with a box of tissues!
