The Munsters CBS 09/64-05/66 The Munsters depicted a family of benign monsters living in the same neighbourhood as mere humans. Herman and Lily Munster lived at 1313 Mockingbird Lane with their son Eddie, niece Marilyn (the odd one), and Grandpa. Despite the monstrous looks the Munsters consider themselves a normal blue-collar family. Often compared to the Addams Family, the Munsters were more classical monsters and decided less wealthy than the Addams family.
The Munsters House stands to this day in Universal City, California at the Universal Studios Theme Park. It was rumored that in 1963 approximately $1,000,000 was spent to convert the classic Victorian house into the creepy Munsters mansion, even though very few exterior shots are seen in the series. Since the series went off the air in 1996 many changes have occurred.
I loved the Munsters because the thought they were so normal. It was the rest of the world that was crazy. Some Munsters trivia. Eddie's pet dragon that lived under the stairs was named Spot. Eddie's stuffed wolf was named Woof-Woof.
