The Michigan Tech Student Philanthropy Council plays a huge role in creating a culture of generosity and gratitude on our Campus and in the greater community. Day of Silence - April 19th 2013. The National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools.
Those who succeed in college are not necessarily going have high SAT scores. There is a lot more to college success. Our education system is not built to consider the multiple factors that may contribute to success.
BGSU students benefited from the generosity of Giving Tuesday supporters - a national day of philanthropy. More than 230 donors gave $88,979 within 24 hours. This is the third year that BGSU has participated in Giving Tuesday, raising a total of $225,800 for the University on Giving Tuesday.
