This image was taken by Glenna Gordon and is a part of her "Abducted Nigerian School Girls" series. What i really like about this series is the construction of a story that happens. The images mightn't make much sense when seen individually yet when the story is revealed it becomes a powerful cohesive series of work. The series is of the possessions of the Nigerian school girls that were kidnapped and is a close up of how they lived and what they owned.

This image was taken by Glenna Gordon and is a part of her "Abducted Nigerian School Girls" series. I really like this photo in the series because I think it is really nice to see how one of the school girls work books had an image of the Eiffel Tower on it. To me this shows that the girls had big dreams of travel and adventure, which in turn makes it a much more powerful image once you realise that she has been kidnapped.

This image was taken by Glenna Gordon and is a part of her "Abducted Nigerian School Girls" series. I think this photo has a good place in the series because it shows the shoes of one of the girls. The shoes are clearly small which always will draws out empathy. You can also see they are pretty warn out which shows how much these girls have already been through even before they were kidnapped.

Another series by Glenna Gordon, titled 'Abducted Nigerian School Girls' it's a documentary of a different kind. The image shows an article of clothing belonging to one of the girls, it's a more literal documentary project documenting items belonging to the girls

I am dedicating this Mother’s Day tribute to the Nigerian school girls' mothers, aunts, sisters, and grandmothers who do not have their loved ones with them this day. Had my mother been living, these women would have been foremost in her prayers for their safe return and ongoing education. http://diplomaticallyincorrect.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/a-tribute-to-my-mother-a-coal-miners-daughter-by-susan-sacirbey/
