balloon topiary -- no tutorial, but looks like they used inexpensive poles (Lowes), and bunched non-helium balloons together (yea! saves time & money without the helium), and then added ribbon. Inexpensive, secure, and no issues with helium balloons running a-muck & getting tangled. It's also long-lasting.

Very pretty back drop. I tried this, and twisted a color streamer with a white and liked it just a little better. This is a good balloon design because it's simple and requires no helium.

no helium! just fill a water bottle 1/3 full with vinegar with a funnel. With another dry funnel, pour baking road into balloon (about 1/2 way). Cover top of bottle with balloon. DON'T LET BAKING SOADA SPILL INTO THE BOTTLE. Then lift balloon and let baking soda fall into vinegar. Mixture will fizz and expand balloon!
