B-24 #42-40896, Art's Cart, served with the 63rd Squadron, 43rd Bomb Group from September 1943 to August 1944. This plane will be a color profile in our next book, Ken's Men Against the Empire, Vol. II.
Maybe the single most famous plane of World War Two. I've been to it several times when it was on display on Mud Island, Memphis, Tennessee. It has been relocated to the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
