Healthy way to lower cholesterol, taken with 500 mg. Niacin daily. I know this works.....I've done it. But you really need to eat cup oat bran daily and this recipe calls for only cup. Still, it has to help.
Peanut Butter Oat Bran Cookies from Food.com: This recipe was on a box of "Hodgson Mill Oat Bran Cereal". What wonderful cookies! Chewy, filling, high fiber...and oat to boot. Lower cholesterol here we come. I also used 1/4 cup applesauce for 1/4 cup margarine to lower fat. They were super easy to mix and are sturdy enough to travel well (I mailed some to an avid fan!).
