After a run of 23 years on the radio, Jack Benny signed off from his live radio show on this date in 1955 to concentrate on TV full-time. The comedian and his beloved regulars including his wife Mary Livingston, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Dennis Day and Don Wilson brought "The Jack Benny Show" to television in 1950. The series ran until 1964 on CBS and then moved to one last season on NBC.
