STEFFI GRAF & ANDRE AGASSI: the union of two tennis stars from different cultures. Born in 1969 in West Germany, Graf is the first & only tennis player (male or female) to win all four Grand Slam singles titles and the Olympic gold medal in the same calendar year. Agassi was born in 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is considered to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time. His father, a former Olympic boxer for Iran, is of Armenian descent. José ("Chegüi") Torres (May 3, 1936 – January 19, 2009), was a Puerto Rican professional boxer. As an amateur boxer, he won a silver medal in the junior middleweight at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. In 1965, he defeated Willie Pastrano to win the WBC and WBA light heavyweight championships. In 1997, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
