Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro....I think it is absolutely amazing how a horse when doing a half pass all of its legs are on a different track as apposed to say a shoulder in where their legs are on three different tracks or a walk where all of their legs are on one track

Equestrian team riders Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin won Britain's first ever gold medal in a dressage team event. It was Team GB's 20th gold of London 2012 and the point where we overtook the 19 Golds that we got at the last Olympics in Beijing in 2008.

#greatwalker London 2012, Olympic individual dressage competition. I wangled a shift at Greenwich Park that day and I managed to watch the end of it. Total immersion in Team GB fever and pure joy when the crowd saw Charlotte's score on the board. I have never in my life waved a flag so vigorously.
(Photo is by Neil Munns/EPA) Charlotte Dujardin on Valegro at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Dujardin and the GB team won gold in the dressage team event, which was impressive for obvious reasons, but I was doubly impressed that she wore a HELMET and not the traditional hat. Hopefully more people will recognize that helmets won't affect your score and safety is more important than looking cool.
