Valentine Vase made from a reclaimed wine bottle, spray paint with primer, twine, and a bow. I used my fancy dancy cricut machine to cut the heart shape out of contact paper. I painted the bottom of the bottle first with the dark pink color. I then placed the contact paper on the bottle (individual hearts up top, and the cutout strip at the bottom). I then sprayed with the light pink all over, leaving a strip of dark pink in the middle. I attached the twine using my hot glue gun.

Paint any wood furniture without sanding. DIY newbie and had no issues! Buy valspar bonding primer for glossy surfaces and a good quality latex paint with a gloss finish (more gloss = scratch resistance). Use foam rollers and foam "brushes" for hard to reach areas. Let primer dry 2hrs before painting. I used 2 coats of paint (wait 2hrs minimum between coats). Follow the instructions on the paint cans for temperatures and other care just to be safe.
