PEACOCKS....live in open and tropical forests and nest on the ground, but roost in trees....include two Asiatic species (the blue/ Indian peafowl originally of India and Sri Lanka & the green peafowl of Myanmar, Indochina, and Java) and one African species (the Congo peafowl native only to the Congo Basin)....measure 39 to 45 inches with a 77 to 89 inch train (tail).....the national bird of India....Pied and white versions can be found in the wild
