Don’t Let the Pigeon ______!

make your own pigeon book. I absolutely have to let my class do this. They love the book so much they cry when it's checked out of the library!

This teacher had a class turn a "pigeon" book (children's picture book) by Mo Willems into prose-like dialogue. This seems like a really great way to have a class model a punctuation feature, as well as vivid verbs and capitalization rules. Each class could have a different picture book, so you could end up with LOTS of different anchor charts!
