Remembering the Father of Acadiana Cajun Music Amedee (Amede) Ardoin born March 11, 1898-November 3, 1942. Amede with his high pitched singing voice playing Accordion with his Cajun Fiddle player Dennis McGee were credited by Louisiana Music Scholars for laying the foundation of Cajun Acadiana Music and were the first to record Cajun Music at Columbia Records in New Orleans on December 9, 1929.
