Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of Scottish influence in interior design. The iconic Scottish style is of course plaid, but Scottish influence comes in many other forms: pheasant motifs, needlepoint hunting scenes, rich velvet sofas, and (faux!) mounted taxidermy. Here’s how to add a wee bit of Scotland to your home!
The living room doesn't have to be stuffy and formal. This one has a cozy, yet traditional feel with a blue and white plaid sofa. Toss in a few bold pillows and a coral throw for a pop of color. French blue walls give a nice calming effect. Built-in bookcases give the room a nice architectural element.
