Chasma Boreale and North Polar Ice Cap of Mars

Scientists using radar data from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) have found a record of the most recent Martian ice age recorded in the planet's north polar ice cap.

Credit: USGS/JPL/NASA The most distant moon yet to be seen in close-up is Triton, the largest moon of Neptune. It has a thin, nitrogen atmosphere and seasonal polar caps of nitrogen ice. Only the south polar cap is visible in this shot, because the northern one was in seasonal darkness. Beyond the polar cap is a richly textured surface formed largely by icy volcanism

"Countdown" by yuumei on DeviantArt While many of us enjoy the luxury of watching TV on our couch with a cold can of soda or beer, the ice caps are melting at an alarming rate. Polar bears that need the ice to hunt and survive are drowning or starving; sometimes forced to search through dumpsters to survive.

"Countdown" by yuumei on DeviantArt This really does mean alot Sad truth. I wish more people would help take care of our Earth. This planet doesn't just belong to us.
