Prime Rib With Garlic Herb Butter--I used a smaller roast so started it at 12 mins. then shut off the oven. 2 hours later, pulled it out & it wasn't medium rare, it was well done! The flavor of the topping was good. I might try it again--2 mins a lb instead of 5, maybe!! --c
This is the EASIEST way to make a roast. I did this last year and it was the tastiest prime rib EVER. The key is to multiply the weight of your roast by five (4lb x 5 = 20). Use that number to roast at 500 degrees and then TURN OFF THE OVEN and walk away!
