The larger leaf-shaped blade with pronounced central ridge with two grooves to either side at the tip, with two notches above the wings of the hilt-plate, the hilt pierced with four rivet-holes, terminating in a faint 'fish tail' tang, 23in (58.5cm) long; the shorter with a stepped central ridge, with a single notch above the hilt plate, the hilt pierced with three rivet holes, 18¾in (48cm) long (2)

The lanceolate blade with a raised rounded midrib, tapering to the sharp cutting edges, with an incised linear border along its length, inserted into the separately-cast hilt, with two rivets joining the arched guard to the blade, the grip with four raised bands, each flanked by incised bands, the disk-shaped pommel with a terminal knob, incised concentric circles on the top

Conimbriga. The first human ocupation of Conimbriga is dated from protohistory, later, with the Roman arrival in the I BCE the place turned into a city very quickly. Water systems still working :)
