The Burmese Ruby Tiara was ordered by Elizabeth II in 1973. The design is in the form of a wreath of red roses. Clusters of rubies & gold form the centre of each flower while diamonds & silver form the petals. A total of 96 diamonds are set into the tiara. During the war, she carried more than 750,000 troops and sailed over 500,000 miles.
