The rarest blood type in the United States is AB with a negative Rh factor. One person in every 167 people have this type amounting to .6% of the population. The most common blood type is O with a positive RH factor which is had by 37.04% of the population or one in every three people.
"World's RAREST Blood Type" = "AB-Negative" (0.8% of the world population) as most people do not have A & B proteins in their bodies; not the same as the type in shortest supply by blood banks (which is "O-Negative"). _____________________________ Reposted by Dr. Veronica Lee, DNP (Depew/Buffalo, NY, US)
