How to Trim Rhubarb

Large clumps of perennial rhubarb supply an abundant harvest of edible stalks, but the plants sometimes need a light trim to encourage optimum growth. Rhubarb grows most readily in U.S. Department of Agriculture hardiness zones 2 through 8, but it can be treated as a winter annual in warmer zones.
