If you haven't read this book, you need to. It is beautiful and luckily it is the first of a trilogy. Trust me on this. If you like really beautiful, interesting, non-cheesey non-Twilightish romance novels, this is perfect for you.
I love all of Kate Morton's novels but this one is my favorite. She writes mystery novels that rely heavily on flashing forward and back in time in the UK. They are all slightly Gothic, painstakingly plotted, and romantic to some degree. I highly recommend them to Anglophiles and mystery/romance lovers everywhere.
British journalist and romance novelist, Jojo Moyes, is this week’s #WCW. Moyes has been writing since 2002, when she publisher her first book Sheltering Rain and she is one of only a few authors to have won the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s Romantic Novel of the Year Award twice. Her most recent book is After You which was published this past September. Check out this and some of her other books in the library’s catalog.
I am about finished reading 'The Last Time I Saw Paris', by Lynn Sheene. This book is a war romance during a time that shaped the world. It is an absorbing, suspenseful and romantic novel. The characters are extremely believable and well portrayed. It is a considerably shorter book than the last I read at 354 pages. I highly recommend this novel to any WWII historical romance buff reader like myself.
