King Ranch Beef Pasta -- 1 lb ground beef; 1 can Rotell tomatoes; 2 cans cheddar cheese soup; 1 can cream mushroom soup;1 can cream chicken soup; 1 tsp minced garlic; 1/2 cup diced onion; chili powder; salt and pepper to taste -- Cook ground beef with onion; drain well; mix remaining ingredients; heat and add to 1lb. pasta; top with grated cheddar cheese
We love Rotel. I am trying this for this years garden produce. I do plan to pressure can it though. I don't believe 5 minutes in a water bath would make it safe. I would do at least 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
German Skillet Dinner 3 tbl butter or margarine 1/2 cabbage , chopped 2/3 c uncooked rice (I use minute rice) 1 med onion, chopped 2 lbs hamburger 1 can diced tomatoes or rotel tomatoes Salt and pepper to taste Melt butter in skillet, layer cabbage, uncooked rice, onion, raw crumbled hamburger, salt and pepper, then tomatoes. Cover with lid and simmer 25-35 minutes until rice, cabbage and burger are done. Do not stir or lift lid until done.
