Boston, MA- A trip to Boston wouldn't have been complete without visiting the Samuel Adams Brewery or Fenway park. Took in a playoffs game, which was such a fun experience. Beautiful, lively stadium. We also walked the entire Freedom Trail.
Sam Adams Brewery Tour: Go to JP, and have a blast as you experience the entire craft brewing process, taste the special malts and smell the Hallertau hops used to brew Samuel Adams, and, of course, sample a few award winning beers FOR FREE. (all ages allowed, 21+ to sample).
Sam Adams Irish Red (Ale) is 5.8 ABV and 25 IBU. The appearance and nose are all Irish Red, with the dark amber and sweet caramel malt. The taste is much the same, nice sweet caramel buttery malts with a touch of hop bitterness on the back end. The body is crisp and clean but a little thin and watery. This is one of Sam's pretty standard brews and while not too exciting I'm always down for one a season.
