Ice Lantern maker from Norway -- a polypropylene mold for freezing water to make a candle lantern. Set outdoors along a walkway in the evening, or make an ice cream bowl of solid ice, or freeze a block of juice and fruit to add to a bowl of punch. One mold can make hundreds of lanterns; one lantern takes up to 24 hours to solidify so you may need multiple molds.

This recipe is an adaptation of a recipe by Joanna Farrow and Sara Lewis, found in their highly commendable book “Ice Cream Machine: The Essential Cook’s Guide to Using an Electric Ice Cream Maker“
