This summer, the Tower Of London was surrounded by a sea of crimson. Amitav Ghosh : Sea of Poppies. I was so distressed when I finished this and realised that it was part of a trilogy but part 2 hadn't been published yet. Thank goodness it has now (River of Smoke) but this was a really gripping read.
