Skinwalkers - Native American legends, a skin-walker is a person with the supernatural ability to turn into any animal he or she desires. To be able to transform, legend sometimes requires that the skin-walker wears a pelt of the animal. In most cases, this pelt is not used in modern times because it is an obvious sign of them being skin-walkers.
Veda has gone on record as saying that she finds the skin walkers to be the better class of Werewolf because they can become real wolves, she has said that she thinks that in their pure form they're definitely faster than Jax aswell, Jax has had to chase several skin walkers on his bike just to catch them and still came up short.
Navajo Skinwalker- The Skin Walker, for whom he is, and what he does, transforms him/her self into and emulation or imitation of and animal. Some wear hides, some transform, some travel in spirit form. Every intention I've witnessed, is that they bring evil and misery, and do not benefit the Dine' Navajo and continue to keep them prisoners of darkness and superstition.
Coyotes in Native American Lore: Skin-walker Native American (Yeenaeldooshi - "with it, he goes on all fours" - Navajo). Usually described as being naked except for a coyote skin or a wolf skin. Said to be impossible to catch and agile, these creatures can transform into an animal to travel large distances or just to wreck havoc. Wild animal hides are taboo, and rarely seen in Navajo culture because of their association with the Skin-walkers.
