Spiced Wine --- 2 cups sugar, 2 tsp ground cinnamon, 2 tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp ground allspice, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, Dry red wine, Cinnamon sticks --- For single serving; Mix 2 teaspoons of the wine mix with 1/2 cup water; heat in small saucepan to boiling. Add 1 cup dry red wine; heat until hot but not boiling.
Spiced Wine made in the Slow Cooker - I’ve taken to making spiced wine each year at Christmas, and it is my favorite drink to serve at holiday parties. I’ve tried many versions of the recipe, and today’s with apple cider and brandy for sweetness, along with star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves for spice is my current favorite.
