Sarah, Daniel & Emily - Miss Sarah Roth was born in 1880 in Tarnów, Austria (modern-day Poland) & came from a Jewish family. She boarded Titanic at Southampton as a 3rd class passenger & on board became acquainted with a large group of similarly-aged passengers who included Emily Badman. Sarah wed her fiancé in St Vincent's Hospital only a week after the Titanic disaster. Acting as a bridesmaid was Sarah's fellow survivor Emily Badman.

Daughters of Charity 1862-1941 -Alabama’s 1st registered nurse in 1916 -Founded St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in Birmingham (1st nursing school in Alabama) -Served as St. Vincent’s 1st administrator 1900-1919 -Lead a group of nurses, the Loyola Unit, in Italy during World War I. -Was recognized by US & Italian governments for her service. -Continued as administrator in Missouri & Alabama hospitals, bringing health care services to areas in need.
